In the future, this page will contain more information on family trees of my
ancestors. But currently we are taking a break after publication of the book of
the Keuning family tree. See the announcement below, with of course the
possibility to order a book through Internet.
Family tree of the Keuning family from Drachten
Finally the time is here to present the book on the Keuning family tree. We
proudly present this great book that is a result of over 5 years of
genealogical research.
The book contains data on the Keuning family that originates from Drachten in
The Netherlands and covers the period from the year 1680 till present day,
information on almost 3500 people and a total of 280 pages. The number of pages
is mainly due to our decision to not only put the data on births, baptism, marriage,
children, and deaths in the book, but also almost all
stories on the Keuning family we have gotten from all of you. The book contains
over 80 pictures, contracts and newspaper articles.
The book is written in the Dutch language. With a very short dictionary
(provided by us) it will be fairly easy to read all the data in the book, the
stories are a bit more difficult. If enough requests from non-Dutch speaking
people are received, we might try to provide a translation of the introduction,
which consists of 12 pages containing information on the Keuning family name,
the town of Drachten we originate from, genealogical research and the book
itself. Please use the remarks field in the order form if you would like such a
translation.
We have tried to find the right mix between quality and price with the
publication of the book. The book will be a genuine bound book, and
despite the higher quality represented by this, the book can be produced for an
attractive price. And that is exactly the price we are asking you for the book,
the cost price of the book with additional shipping costs. The book itself costs 25
Euro, or approximately 23 US$. The book has been published once, in a limited edition
in November 2001, and spread among the people that ordered it. For safety reasons, we
had the printer make a few more books, so that it is still possible to order books!
We therefore request you to send the order form (click
here) to us and include your email address in the order form. We will calculate
the shipping costs and then you can make the payment for the book. After we have
received your payment, the book will be shipped.
